Your outfit should reflect you personality.  Maybe you want to dress for an adventure or maybe you want to go formal.  Consider how your attire can fit with your session location.

Some locations can be super crowded.  While a session at the beach, a popular park or Disneyland can be great, it may not be ideal for you.

Do you love nature?  Did you go to a fair on your first date?  While a beautiful garden might be fun for some, maybe it isn't the perfect location for you.

TOP OF THE WORLD

There are many options to choose from if you are looking to have your engagement photo session at a naturesque location. You have several options to choose from. You have your regional parks, wetlands and various others as well. But how many of them come with amazing views from high above? Engagement Photos taken by Three16 Photography at Top of the World in Laguna Niguel will leave you beautiful memories of this very special time together.

Top of the World, otherwise known as Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park, sits on approximately 4,500 acres of natural open space and wilderness. We love all the beauty this location brings as backdrops to your photos. There are at least three species of trees made up of Sycamores, Mature Oaks and Elderberry’s. There are also more than 30 miles of trails and couple year-round streams of water. Top of the World is also the home of many rare and endangered animals and plant-life and has been designated as a wildlife sanctuary.

Along the trails are some pretty tall grasses which always turns out great in photography and of course, the view. Oh, that wonderful view! If we happen to get a day where the sky is pretty clear, then the photos in the background will not only give your photos some context but will make them even more memorable. Imagine being able to see Catalina Island in the background of your engagement photos.

A couple things to keep in mind, the park, including the parking lot closes at sunset. So, we need to be sure to have the session completed and allow us enough time to get back to our cars so we can exit out on time. But at the same time, capturing your photos as the sun is setting from such a high altitude would be absolutely breathtaking. So, timing would be of the essence.

If Top of the World is your first choice for your session, have a backup plan in place as well. It is not uncommon that they will close the trails for three days or more after having a rainfall. So, if we schedule your session three months out, we won’t know the rain situation until it gets closer. Be prepared.
